HOA Elections of California was founded in 2006 to provide independent, accurate, and professional election administration for homeowners associations throughout California.

Since then, we have conducted more than 10,000 elections and membership votes for communities ranging from just 4 properties to more than 7,000 properties.

Larger elections can involve substantial printing, mailing, voter verification, ballot intake, electronic voting, district allocation, and tabulation requirements. Our systems and procedures are designed to manage those elections efficiently while still providing the attention required for smaller communities.

Paper and Electronic Voting

HOA Elections of California administers traditional paper ballot elections, electronic voting, and elections that utilize both voting methods.

For paper elections, we can manage the preparation, printing, mailing, receipt, verification, secure storage, and tabulation of election materials.

For electronic elections, eligible members can vote through a secure electronic voting process while members voting by paper continue to participate in the same election.

This allows associations to select a voting method that fits their membership while maintaining a single coordinated election process.

Accurate and Efficient Ballot Tabulation

Election meetings should be organized and efficient, even when thousands of ballots are involved.

We use ballot scanning technology to provide accurate and efficient tabulation and high speed letter opening equipment to process large quantities of returned election envelopes.

These tools allow our team to process substantial ballot volumes while maintaining an organized election workflow and producing results efficiently at the election meeting.

Technology supports the process, but the election remains under the supervision and authority of the Inspector of Elections.

Independent Election Administration

An Inspector of Elections must remain independent and impartial throughout the election.

Our responsibility is to properly administer the election, not to produce a particular result for the Board, management, a candidate, or any other interested party.

Depending on the election, our responsibilities may include reviewing election requirements, preparing election materials, maintaining voter information, receiving and securing ballots, determining voter eligibility, resolving ballot and voting questions, determining quorum, tabulating votes, and determining the official results.

Every election is approached with the same focus on independence, consistency, accuracy, and ballot integrity.
